Hanazono Rugby Stadium has hosted many games including the National High School Rugby Football Tournament and the Japan Rugby Top League. The 1st Ground accommodates about 30,000 people in its Main, Side and Rear stands. These orange-colored seats have witnessed the debut of numerous rugby legends.

The distinctive orange-colored seats
have always supported this "Mecca" of rugby.

The seats installed in the stadium for many years were small and must have been tight especially for the more heavily-built ruggers. On the other hand, being closer together helps people find a greater sense of togetherness, experienced especially at times of enthusiastic cheering - something this stadium is known for.
People who watched matches in those early days have handed down such times as precious memories.
Those stands have been removed due to stadium renovations carried out in preparation for the Rugby World Cup 2019. Their exhalted history ends while another begins.
